About David J. Ourisman

David J. Ourisman is an ordained minister in the United Methodist Church (Greater New Jersey Annual Conference) with sixteen years of service in parish ministry. He has a Ph.D. in homiletics from the Graduate Theological Union, Berkeley, CA. His recent book, From Gospel to Sermon: Preaching Synoptic Texts, was published by Chalice Press. He is currently the Interim Pastor at Bethany United Methodist Church in San Francisco, CA.

He has taught Homiletics and New Testatment at Vancouver School of Theology, Vancouver, British Columbia and at Pacific School of Religion, Berkeley, CA.
